About Faiza

Faiza is a Melbourne based Australian artist who works mainly with acrylics and textures. Her work occupies the compelling space between abstraction and realism, ranging from semi-abstract landscapes to still-life paintings inspired by thrift shop discoveries. Driven by her own space and environment, Faiza translates surrounding textures and colours into emotive canvas pieces that explore mood and feeling. With a keen eye for detail and colour, Faiza's artwork uses both canvas and high-grade canvas paper, to translate her artistic journey.

Beyond the canvas, Faiza is a Trauma Counsellor. In moments of respite, she finds solace in the company of her beloved cat, Sheeba, or reading or exploring interesting places around Melbourne, Australia.
